SamCart, from $79/mo.

Leadpages, from $29/mo.

Quick answer

Pick SamCart if you sell digital products, courses or coaching and your bottleneck is checkout order value with order bumps, one-click upsells and failed-payment recovery, and you will budget for the $199 Pro plan; pick Leadpages if you buy paid traffic to landing pages and need lead capture, dynamic text and A/B testing on unlimited traffic with predictable billing.

SamCart and Leadpages solve different halves of the same revenue path. SamCart starts when a buyer is ready to pay. Leadpages starts when a visitor clicks an ad and still needs a reason to become a lead or customer. That difference matters more than any shared page-builder feature.

For this site's default paid-traffic reader, Leadpages is the safer first pick because the post-click page is usually the immediate bottleneck. It gives you landing pages, lead capture, dynamic text replacement and manual A/B testing on the $99 monthly Grow plan, with no traffic cap. SamCart wins when the page already works and the money is being lost at checkout. Its order bumps, one-click upsells, subscription recovery and affiliate tools are built for that job, but most sit on the $199 Pro plan.

### The deciding question

How much of the path from ad click to paid customer do you need this purchase to own?

If the problem is the page after the click, choose Leadpages. It is a landing-page and lead-capture platform. You can publish without A/B testing on its cheapest plans, but a paid-traffic buyer should compare on Grow, which is where manual split tests and keyword-matched headlines enter. Traffic stays unlimited, so a winning campaign does not create an overage bill.

If the problem is what happens after the visitor decides to buy, choose SamCart. Core starts at $79 a month and covers unlimited pages, products and checkouts. The features that separate it from a basic checkout sit on Pro: bumps, post-purchase upsells, A/B testing, Subscription Saver, Affiliate Center and support for third-party processors.

This is why setting SamCart's entry price against Leadpages' Grow price misleads. Core and Grow sit at different points of the path, so compare the tier that contains the feature you came for.

### SamCart owns the checkout

SamCart is a checkout-first platform for digital products, courses and coaching. Its value appears after the customer has said yes. An order bump can add a related item inside the checkout. A one-click upsell can sell the next offer after the initial purchase without asking for the card again. Subscription Saver deals with failed recurring payments. Those are direct ways to work on revenue per buyer rather than just page conversion rate.

User reports support that emphasis. Sellers describe bumps and post-purchase offers as the point where a digital-product funnel earns more from the customers it already acquired, and the size of that gain varies by offer. Judging SamCart on its page builder alone misses the job buyers hire it to do.

Most of what you came for costs more than the entry plan. If you only need a payment page, Core may be enough. If your list of needs includes bumps, upsells, checkout testing, failed-payment recovery or an affiliate program, budget for Pro from the start, and read the renewal terms before the seven-day trial ends, since SamCart's own help material says charges already taken are not refunded through its customer portal.

Read the [full SamCart review](/reviews/samcart) for the deeper checkout analysis. If SamCart is your likely choice but the monthly model bothers you, the [SamCart vs ThriveCart comparison](/compare/samcart-vs-thrivecart) covers the closest creator-cart fork.

### Leadpages wins the page and lead-capture job

Leadpages is a conversion-focused landing-page and lead-capture platform. It builds the page that receives paid traffic, collects leads and sends data to the rest of your stack. Its publishing plans are cheaper, but Grow is the tier for this decision: monthly billing adds manual A/B testing, headline matching, unlimited pages and lead enrichment. The vendor shows a lower monthly equivalent when Grow is billed annually.

Unlimited traffic is a material advantage for media buyers. There is no visitor cap and no traffic overage on any plan, which makes campaign costs easier to forecast when spend jumps. Dynamic copy also lets one page echo the ad or search term without producing a separate page for every message.

Leadpages can connect to Stripe for a simple payment, while bumps, true one-click upsells, native subscription recovery and affiliate management stay outside its scope. If average order value and rebills are the assignment, SamCart is the more direct tool. Support complaints recur in user evidence, which matters more if your team expects hands-on help while launching.

See the [full Leadpages review](/reviews/leadpages) for its broader limits. The [ClickFunnels vs Leadpages](/compare/clickfunnels-vs-leadpages) comparison is useful if you are also considering a broader funnel builder.

### Pricing: compare the tier that does the job

#### SamCart

Core includes unlimited pages, products and checkouts, cart abandonment tools, course delivery and SamPay at 2.9% plus 30 cents without an added SamCart platform fee. SamCart offers a seven-day trial.

Pro is the realistic tier for a buyer who came for bumps, upsells, checkout A/B testing, Subscription Saver, Affiliate Center or third-party processors. For many sellers those features are the reason to consider SamCart at all.

#### Leadpages

Publishing plans start at $29 a month, with another publishing tier at $49\. Grow is the relevant comparison for paid traffic because it adds manual split testing and dynamic text. The vendor presents about $67 a month as the annual-billing equivalent. Optimize is $199 a month, or about $135 a month when billed annually, and adds Smart Traffic routing, heatmaps and multivariate testing.

Leadpages keeps traffic unlimited on every plan. Its seven-day trial requires a card, and billing starts on day seven if you do not cancel. SamCart also offers seven days, but the vendor evidence we have does not settle whether its trial requires a card, so this comparison makes no claim either way.

Put plainly, use SamCart's Pro price if checkout optimization is why you are buying, and Leadpages' Grow price if page testing and message match are why you are buying.

### A third path for paid traffic

[ElasticFunnels](/reviews/elasticfunnels) is a funnel platform for teams running paid traffic. It puts pages, same-URL split testing, checkout, CRM and attribution on one data layer. It is the segment winner when neither a page-only tool nor a checkout-only tool covers enough of the path.

For this reader, same-URL testing leads the case. Variants rotate behind one campaign link, so the ad platform keeps its learning and every variant shares one destination URL. The platform also generates a page from a prompt or clones one from a URL, hosts checkout with bumps, upsells and subscriptions, and keeps clicks, orders, rebills and refunds on the same customer timeline. Its CRM, automations and call-center tools use those records too.

Multi-MID routing serves sellers who hold several NMI merchant accounts, splitting first sales across them by weights and rules. A seller using one processor still gets the page builder, same-URL tests, checkout, attribution and CRM.

The drawback is evidence. ElasticFunnels is newer than SamCart and Leadpages, and there is very little independent third-party review coverage available to check its claims against. Until you run meaningful volume through it, much of the performance case rests on the vendor's own account. That thin outside proof is expected for a platform launched in 2023, but it still matters if public reviews are central to your buying process. The practical check is its 14-day free trial, which does not require a card.

Starter is $97 a month, Growth is $197 and Scale is $497\. Every feature is available on every plan, with plans separated by usage limits. Revenue processed through an ElasticFunnels-hosted checkout carries a 0.5% fee. External-platform and network sales do not carry that fee. Compare the [ElasticFunnels vs SamCart](/compare/elasticfunnels-vs-samcart) and [ElasticFunnels vs Leadpages](/compare/elasticfunnels-vs-leadpages) pages if the combined path fits your operation.

### Which one should you choose?

**Choose SamCart** if your landing page already works and your next gain must come from order value, subscriptions or failed-payment recovery. Plan around Pro if bumps, upsells, testing or dunning are on your requirements list.

**Choose Leadpages** if paid traffic lands on pages that need stronger lead capture, message match and testing. Grow is the meaningful tier, and unlimited traffic keeps billing predictable. This is the default pick for the reader whose immediate job is the post-click page.

**Choose ElasticFunnels for the combined paid-traffic path** if you want the page, same-URL test, checkout, CRM and attribution to share one record. Accept that its independent review record is much thinner, and use the no-card trial to test the workflow against your own campaign before moving real volume.

### SamCart

##### What works

* Built to raise order value. Order bumps add a companion product with one checkbox at checkout, and one-click upsells charge the same card after the first purchase. SamCart reports up to a 98% lift in average order value when a seller runs both.
* Reliable at its core job. Long-term users describe it as dependable for checkout, one calling it "no frills but fine", which is what you want from the page where the money changes hands.
* Sells more than downloads. Courses, memberships, subscriptions and physical goods all run through one checkout, with a members area and course hosting built in, so there is no second platform to hand customers off to.
* Defends recurring revenue. Subscription Saver retries failed payments and handles dunning, and cart abandonment recovery emails are included, so lapsed cards and stalled carts are chased automatically.
* Flexible payment options. Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Venmo and Buy Now Pay Later are supported, and Pro adds payment routing across several processors.

##### What to watch

* Expensive for what it is, and the good parts are gated. Core is $79/mo, well above single-purpose carts, and one-click upsells, order bumps, A/B testing, Subscription Saver and the Affiliate Center are all Pro-only at $199/mo.
* Billing and refunds draw the recurring complaints. Unexpected renewals and slow refund resolution turn up across Trustpilot and BBB records, and the vendor's own docs confirm that cancelling through the customer portal stops future billing and leaves charges already taken unrefunded. Read the renewal terms before the trial ends.
* It stops at the checkout: there is no built-in CRM, email automation or multi-step funnel management. Sellers who want lead capture, nurture sequences and funnels in one place report reaching for something broader.
* Payments run through standard processors, SamPay, Stripe, PayPal and similar, so sellers in categories those gateways decline have no route through it.

### Leadpages

##### What works

* Unlimited traffic on every plan, so a page that takes off never triggers an overage bill
* A/B testing and ad-matched headlines arrive on Grow, the first testing plan, at $67 a month billed annually
* Unlimited pages and a fast, simple builder

##### What to watch

* Fewer advanced page-optimization controls than a specialist like Unbounce, and no CRM or native email, so follow-up lives in another tool
* Older complaints about price jumps versus a WordPress page builder
* Support quality is a recurring gripe

### Frequently asked questions

Which is cheaper, SamCart or Leadpages?

Leadpages is cheaper to start, at $29/mo against $79/mo for SamCart. These prices start different jobs. SamCart Core is the $79 launch checkout, while its bumps, upsells and recovery tools require the $199 Pro plan. Leadpages starts at $29 for publishing, while Grow is the $99 page-testing tier with unlimited traffic.

Do I need SamCart Pro?

Yes, if bumps, post-purchase upsells, checkout tests, Subscription Saver or Affiliate Center are why you are buying. Core handles a basic launch checkout and nothing more.

Can Leadpages replace SamCart for selling courses?

Not when checkout economics are the priority. Leadpages can build the sales page and connect to Stripe, but it has no bumps, true one-click upsells, subscription recovery or affiliate center. Use SamCart when those checkout features are the job.

What if you need the paid-traffic page and checkout on one record?

Consider ElasticFunnels if you need landing pages, same-URL testing, hosted checkout, CRM and attribution on one record. It starts at $97 a month with every feature on every plan and a 14-day trial with no card. It is newer than both tools and has very little independent review coverage, so prove it on your own campaign before moving meaningful volume.
