If you buy paid traffic, want unlimited events with no click limits or overage fees, and are comfortable running your own server, you are unlikely to regret it. The catch is the deployment. You supply and maintain a VPS, the features you probably came for (CAPI and automatic cost sync) start on the $97 Pro plan, and its independent review footprint is thin, so lean on the 14-day trial to prove it on one real campaign before you commit. Testing of landing pages and offers from inside the tracker, and multivariate testing of a single page on the top plan. On the Pro plan and up it sends conversions server-side to Meta, TikTok, Google and Microsoft through their Conversion APIs, and pulls your ad spend back in automatically, so your reports show real cost and ROI rather than clicks alone. What CPV Lab tracks: every step from the click to the sale, with a conversion signal sent back to the ad platform so its algorithm learns. #### Who it is for, and who it is not It fits paid media buyers, CPA affiliates and agencies who run real traffic and need to compare costs against commissions, rotate offers and landers, and feed conversions back to the ad platforms. If that is your day, this is a capable, fairly priced tool. One long-term user on the affiliate forum afflift calls it the "best self-hosted tracker I've used", and that is the crowd it is built for. It is the wrong tool for a content-site affiliate who only wants to know which blog link got clicked. For that, a link cloaker or your network's sub-ID report is simpler and cheaper.
