Is it worth the money?

ThriveCart is the checkout to pick if you sell courses or digital products and want a capable cart at a flat, buy-once price. It leans on whichever processor you connect for the actual money, so it cannot route payments to a second account, cannot serve high-risk sellers, and only adds its own dunning on the Pro+ tier.

What works

  • A lifetime licence has long been the draw, so nothing recurring lands on your bill once you have bought in
  • Creator-focused cart features are strong: order bumps, one-click upsells, split-tested checkouts and a built-in affiliate centre
  • Connects Stripe, PayPal or Authorize.Net and adds nothing of its own on top of the processor's fee
  • Once on Pro+ it adds its own reminder emails, subscription analytics and deeper reporting

What to watch

  • The money runs through the one processor you connect, so a declined card has no second account to fall back to
  • No high-risk support either. The big gateways all bar those categories, and ThriveCart cannot work around the ban
  • How hard a failed payment is retried is the processor's job. Authorize.Net does not retry at all, and ThriveCart's own reminders need the Pro+ tier
  • Disputes sit with the processor, not with ThriveCart, so it brings no dedicated chargeback tooling to lean on
