Quick answer
SamCart integrates with Kajabi through its app marketplace. You paste the Kajabi API key and secret, then add grant and revoke rules tied to an offer. The buyer is charged in SamCart. Kajabi emails the library login to that same address.
Does SamCart integrate with Kajabi?
You want the bumps and the one-click upsells on the sale, and you want the course or the community to open in Kajabi. That split is what the app is for. SamCart takes the payment. Kajabi holds the library login.
SamCart's Kajabi article covers the connection. The app uses Kajabi's API key and API secret, then a Grant Offer or Revoke Offer action pointed at an offer ID. Kajabi's integrations directory highlights Zapier and payment tools and never names SamCart, so the install starts in SamCart.
The home pages show who does which job: checkout on SamCart, the course business on Kajabi.
What the app grants, and what stays put
On a purchase, the rule can enroll the buyer in the offer you named. SamCart's article says you can also remove that access when a customer asks for a refund. After the grant, Kajabi emails login details to the address on the SamCart order. If the buyer typed a different email than the one they use for Kajabi, the welcome message still goes to the checkout address.
The article's answer on subscriptions is that customers still manage the card and the plan in SamCart. Putting SamCart's form on a Kajabi sales page is a separate option, covered further down, and those rules still open the offer.
How to connect SamCart to Kajabi
- Copy the key from Kajabi. Kajabi's credential article walks through Settings, then Account Details, then API Credentials, where you copy the API key and API secret. That article says these are the credentials for Zapier and third-party apps. They are separate from Kajabi's Public API credentials.
- Install the app in SamCart. Open Apps, then Membership, then Kajabi, choose Install, paste the key and the secret, and connect. SamCart's article describes the same Kajabi screen as Account Settings, then Account Details.
- Add a grant rule. On the installed app, add a rule and choose global or product-specific. The action is Grant Offer. You pick the offer ID. The trigger to use for a sale is Product Purchased, which fires when that item is bought as the main product, an upsell, an order bump, or a payment option.
- Add a revoke rule. Repeat the rule with Revoke Offer on the refund trigger the article documents, so a refund can remove the offer.
- Place a test order. Confirm the Kajabi welcome email arrives at the address used on the SamCart order.
- If the offer is missing, refresh. SamCart says to use Refresh Connection on the installed Kajabi page. Its FAQ also says to make sure an order is already tied to that offer inside Kajabi, or the ID may not appear.
The screens those articles show
Slide Checkout on a Kajabi page
Some sellers keep the sales page in Kajabi and still want SamCart's form on it. SamCart's Slide Checkout article documents that path: generate the Slide Checkout code under Design and Share, paste it into Kajabi's custom code section, and point the page's buttons at the Slide Checkout URL.
Those same rules still add the buyer to the offer. The article is SamCart's own marketing, so read the enrollment line as the vendor's description of the app, and use the help article for the rule itself. The blog leaves the card on the SamCart order.
Zapier, when the native app is not the path you need
The Kajabi article linked in the first step says that key and secret are commonly used for Zapier and other outside apps. Use an outside automation when the native rule cannot do the job you have: one automation to grant an offer, and a second to revoke it.
Pros and cons of running both
What works
- SamCart keeps the charge, and a rule can put the buyer into a Kajabi offer without a custom script.
- The same help article documents a revoke action, so a refund can take that offer away.
- Kajabi sends the login to the email on the SamCart order, so the student account matches the buyer.
What to watch
- You carry two subscriptions, and order bumps plus one-click upsells sit on SamCart Pro.
- A new offer can be missing from the rule list until you refresh the connection, and SamCart says it may need an order in Kajabi first.
- A G2 review on the Italian SamCart listing says some integrations still need extra building. SamCart billing complaints are a separate topic.
The Pro gate matters if you added SamCart for the bump or the upsell. SamCart's pricing page lists one-click upsells and order bumps on Pro, and it lists the Integration Engine on Core. The Kajabi help article never names a plan. The upsell product itself is a Pro feature, even when a purchase trigger would have covered that line item.
Billing friction is a different question from the wiring. The complaints that show up around renewals and refunds are written up on the SamCart complaints page.
My take
I'd start with the native app when the course already lives in Kajabi and the sale needs a bump or a one-click upsell, and I'd leave SamCart off when Kajabi's own checkout covers the offer. The check I trust is one test order: the welcome email should hit the checkout address, and a missing offer should appear in the rule list after a refresh.
SamCart vs Kajabi is where that choice is laid out offer by offer.
One platform, if the library does not have to live in Kajabi
ElasticFunnels is a funnel platform for teams that run paid traffic. It keeps the page, the checkout, the order, the rebill and the refund on one record, which is the job this stack splits across two logins. It also split-tests page variants under a single URL, so the ad keeps the same link, and it includes a CRM and automations on that record. Every feature is on every plan. Plans differ by page views, brands, domains, seats and automation runs.
Its integrations page groups payments, ads, email and CRM tools. Kajabi is absent from that list. If the course, the community and the student login have to stay in Kajabi, keep Kajabi for that library. ElasticFunnels still builds the pages and the checkout for the paid-traffic offer. You still grant course access inside Kajabi.
It is newer than SamCart and Kajabi, and there is very little independent review coverage you can check its claims against. Until you run real volume through it, you are largely taking the vendor's word. A platform on the market since 2023 has had less time to collect outside reviews. The trial runs for 14 days and does not ask for a card. You can set up pages, funnels and a custom domain during the trial.
If the question is the checkout, the comparison is ElasticFunnels vs SamCart. A course business that also runs funnels is the subject of ElasticFunnels vs Kajabi. Plan prices and the checkout fee are in the table below.
What buyers keep saying
The native app still needs a rule for each offer. SamCart's help article explains how to install the Kajabi app, where to paste the credentials, and how to add grant and revoke actions. Reviewers who write about SamCart integrations still describe extra building on some of them. That fits a setup where the offer has to exist in Kajabi before a rule can select it.
Zapier is the route people name when a direct app falls short. The same Kajabi article says those credentials are the ones used with Zapier and other outside apps. The Capterra line below is the short version of that fallback.
What the help articles say in their own words
“No, all billing is still handled inside of SamCart.”
“That email will always be sent to the same email your customer used to place their order in SamCart.”
“you can even automatically remove their access if a customer decides it isn't right for them”
Two outside lines
On Capterra, a SamCart reviewer describes the fallback in one clause: "Zapier bridges tools not directly integrated." That is the positive read of a stack that sometimes needs a third app.
On G2's Italian SamCart listing, a reviewer writes that some integrations still require extra building. That matches a setup where the offer and the rule both have to be in place before access shows up.
What the stack costs
Monthly figures below are the public sticker prices. Kajabi also publishes an annual rate on the same page. SamCart's page is the source for Core, Pro, the Integration Engine and the Pro checkout tools. The two combined rows add those monthly stickers and leave annual billing out. Full tier notes live on the SamCart pricing and Kajabi pricing pages.
| Plan | Monthly | Annual rate | Included here |
|---|---|---|---|
| SamCart Core | $79 | Monthly sticker | Integration Engine is listed on Core. |
| SamCart Pro | $199 | Monthly sticker | Adds one-click upsells and order bumps. |
| Kajabi Basic | $179 | $143 | Entry plan. Kajabi states no revenue share. |
| Kajabi Growth | $249 | $199 | Middle published tier. |
| Kajabi Pro | $499 | $399 | Top published tier. |
| Core + Basic | $258 | Monthly only | Both entry plans, annual rates left out. |
| Pro + Basic | $378 | Monthly only | Pro checkout tools plus Kajabi Basic. |
| ElasticFunnels Starter | $97 | $937/yr | 50,000 page views, 3 brands |
| ElasticFunnels Growth | $197 | $1,891/yr | 250,000 page views, 10 brands |
| ElasticFunnels Scale | $497 | $4,771/yr | 500,000 page views, 50 domains |
| ElasticFunnels checkout fee | 0.5% | n/a | Hosted gateways only |
Hosted checkout uses Stripe, NMI, PayPal, Klarna or Authorize.net. External checkouts are not charged that fee. Seats are 10, 20 or unlimited, and automation runs are 10,000, 50,000 or 200,000. Extra page views are $1.20, $1.00 or $0.80 per 1,000. Extra runs are $3, $2 or $1 per 1,000, and an extra domain is $5 a month.
