Funnel builder alternatives
Nine ways out of a bundled funnel tool, ranked for sellers who buy their traffic.
By Dana Rourke, Lead reviewer. Reviewed by Campaign Buyer Editorial. Updated 14 October 2026. We revisit this page every 90 days.
You pay for a funnel builder that does pages, checkout, email and courses, and you use about half of it. The renewal went up again, the email module is weaker than a dedicated tool, or the checkout cannot run the upsell your offer needs. Most lists of sales funnel software alternatives answer that with another bundle at a similar price, which moves the problem to a new login.
There are three real ways out. Switch to a different bundle. Rebuild the job as a stack of separate tools: a landing page builder for the page, a cart for the checkout, an email tool for follow-up. Or move to a funnel platform built for paid traffic, which keeps the page, the test, the checkout and the sales data on one record.
Systeme.io describes a funnel as a sequence of pages from first contact to purchase, usually an opt-in, a sales page, a checkout and a thank-you page. Leaving a funnel builder means deciding who owns each of those steps. Buyers on r/growmybusiness say every bundle has one or two weak modules. A stack swaps those modules for specialist tools and adds seams between them. Those seams are cheap at low volume. Once you buy traffic at scale, every question about which ad angle made money becomes a job of matching exports from the page tool, the cart and the ad platform.
Quick answer
ElasticFunnels is the pick if you run paid traffic and want the pages, same-URL split tests, the checkout and the sales reporting in one system, with every sale on one record. If you only want a better page and a better cart, pair Unbounce with SamCart. If cost is the reason you are leaving, Systeme.io has a free plan to start on.
The shortlist
- 1. ElasticFunnels is the best funnel builder alternative for paid-traffic teams that want the page, the split test, the checkout and the reporting on one record.
- 2. Unbounce is the best funnel builder alternative for the page half of a stack, when Google Ads message match decides your conversion rate.
- 3. SamCart is the best funnel builder alternative for the checkout half of a stack, with order bumps, upsells and failed-payment recovery.
- 4. Systeme.io is the best funnel builder alternative for the cheapest way out, starting on a free plan.
- 5. ClickFunnels is the best funnel builder alternative for coaches and course sellers who want the most established bundle and template library.
- 6. Leadpages is the best funnel builder alternative for predictable page costs with no visitor caps.
- 7. GoHighLevel is the best funnel builder alternative for agencies reselling a CRM, funnels, email and SMS to local clients under their own brand.
- 8. Kajabi is the best funnel builder alternative for course and membership businesses where delivery matters more than checkout tricks.
- 9. Kartra is the best funnel builder alternative for coaches who want pages, checkout, email and a member area under one login for less than Kajabi.

The alternatives, ranked
1. ElasticFunnels
Best funnel builder alternative for paid-traffic teams that want the page, the split test, the checkout and the reporting on one record
ElasticFunnels is a funnel platform for teams running paid traffic, and it rebuilds the stack you would otherwise assemble by hand: pages, same-URL split testing, a hosted checkout, a CRM and attribution on one data layer. The split testing is what most switchers come for. Variants rotate on the server under the one link in your ad, so Meta, Google and TikTok keep their learning, and starting or ending a test never sends the ad back through review.
Pages come from an AI builder that drafts one from a prompt or clones an existing page from its URL. The checkout runs order bumps, one-click upsells and subscriptions, and charges through Stripe, NMI, PayPal, Klarna or Authorize.net. A seller holding several NMI merchant accounts can split first sales across them by weight, card brand, product and daily cap. Because a click, an order, a rebill and a refund sit on one timeline with the CRM, automations and call center, one report answers which ad angle made money, where a stack needs four exports.
Every feature is on every plan, and the tiers differ only by page views, brands, domains, seats and automation runs. On top of the plan it takes 0.5% of revenue that runs through its own checkout, while sales sent to networks such as ClickBank or BuyGoods carry no fee.
What works
- Replaces the stack a growth team usually stitches together: a funnel builder, a checkout or CRM, a testing tool and an analytics tool, so a click, an order, a rebill and a refund are one record instead of four exports you reconcile on Monday
- Its standout is testing under one URL: variants rotate server-side on one campaign link, so Meta, Google and TikTok keep their learning and a test never sends the ad back for review
- The AI builder writes a page of any type from a prompt, and the cloner turns a competitor URL into a working copy in about a minute
- Its checkout takes Stripe, NMI, PayPal, Klarna or Authorize.net, splits sales across several NMI merchant accounts by weight, card brand, product and daily cap, and builds in order bumps, one-click upsells and subscription dunning
- Analytics put sessions, orders, rebills and refunds on one timeline, sliced by affiliate, geo, device or creative, and a built-in CRM and call center work off the same records
- A trial tests the whole tool because nothing is gated behind a higher tier: plans differ only by the traffic volume they allow
What to watch
- Multi-MID routing, the standout in its checkout, works across NMI merchant accounts only and pays off only if you already hold several to route between. A seller on a single Stripe account still gets the pages, the testing, the analytics and the CRM, but not that routing advantage
- It is not a merchant of record like Paddle: it will not file your sales tax or carry dispute liability, so that work stays with you and your processors
- The 0.5% checkout fee applies to revenue through its hosted checkout, on top of the monthly plan and your own processor fees, though sales on external networks like ClickBank or BuyGoods are not charged
The catch
ElasticFunnels is newer than the tools it replaces, and there is very little independent third-party review coverage to check its claims against, so until you run real volume through it you are largely taking the vendor's word for it. That is what you would expect of a platform built since 2023. The gap is in outside proof, and the features are there to try: the 14-day trial needs no card, so you can run the split testing and the checkout on your own traffic before you pay.

2. Unbounce
Best funnel builder alternative for the page half of a stack, when Google Ads message match decides your conversion rate
Unbounce is a dedicated landing page builder, and it is the half of a stack most paid-search buyers keep when they leave a bundle. Dynamic text replacement rewrites the headline to match the keyword behind the click, and Smart Traffic sends each visitor to the variant most likely to convert them. Both live on the Experiment plan, so that is the tier to budget for.
The page stops at the button that leaves for your checkout, which means a cart has to sit behind it. Paid-search buyers on r/PPC describe that exact pairing as a perfectly workable low-ticket setup. Watch the monthly visitor caps as you scale, since overages are the complaint that follows heavy Unbounce users.
What works
- The page headline updates to match each search query, the core PPC lever
- Smart Traffic routes each visitor to the variant most likely to convert them
- A large template library and a mature builder
What to watch
- Dynamic text and split testing start on the $149/mo Experiment plan, about five times what Starter costs
- Monthly unique-visitor caps bring overage anxiety at scale
- Users find the fixed-section layout and the mobile editor frustrating, and some call the builder painful

3. SamCart
Best funnel builder alternative for the checkout half of a stack, with order bumps, upsells and failed-payment recovery
SamCart is a standalone cart, and in a stack it takes over the checkout your funnel builder used to host. Order bumps add a companion product with one checkbox, one-click upsells charge the stored card after the first purchase, and Subscription Saver chases failed renewals. All three sit on the Pro plan, so Core buys you a cart without the features most people leave a funnel builder to keep.
Put Unbounce and SamCart together on the useful tiers and the stack runs about $348 a month before you add email, which our head-to-head of the two breaks down line by line. You get a specialist page and a specialist cart. The cost is that the ad, the page and the sale now report in three places, and someone has to reconcile them.
What works
- Built to raise order value. Order bumps add a companion product with one checkbox at checkout, and one-click upsells charge the same card after the first purchase. SamCart reports up to a 98% lift in average order value when a seller runs both.
- Reliable at its core job. Long-term users describe it as dependable for checkout, one calling it "no frills but fine", which is what you want from the page where the money changes hands.
- Sells more than downloads. Courses, memberships, subscriptions and physical goods all run through one checkout, with a members area and course hosting built in, so there is no second platform to hand customers off to.
- Defends recurring revenue. Subscription Saver retries failed payments and handles dunning, and cart abandonment recovery emails are included, so lapsed cards and stalled carts are chased automatically.
- Flexible payment options. Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Venmo and Buy Now Pay Later are supported, and Pro adds payment routing across several processors.
What to watch
- Expensive for what it is, and the good parts are gated. Core is $79/mo, well above single-purpose carts, and one-click upsells, order bumps, A/B testing, Subscription Saver and the Affiliate Center are all Pro-only at $199/mo.
- Billing and refunds draw the recurring complaints. Unexpected renewals and slow refund resolution turn up across Trustpilot and BBB records, and the vendor's own docs confirm that cancelling through the customer portal stops future billing and leaves charges already taken unrefunded. Read the renewal terms before the trial ends.
- It stops at the checkout: there is no built-in CRM, email automation or multi-step funnel management. Sellers who want lead capture, nurture sequences and funnels in one place report reaching for something broader.
- Payments run through standard processors, SamPay, Stripe, PayPal and similar, so sellers in categories those gateways decline have no route through it.

4. Systeme.io
Best funnel builder alternative for the cheapest way out, starting on a free plan
Systeme.io is the low-cost bundle: funnels, email, courses, a blog and your own affiliate program under one login. The free plan is enough to put a live funnel up without a card, and paid plans add no transaction fee. That makes it the cheapest way to leave a pricier bundle without wiring separate tools together.
Depth is where it runs out. The editor and templates are basic, and sellers say they outgrow its conditional email logic and checkout options once offers get layered. A beginner leaving on cost keeps most of what they used. A buyer testing pages every week on paid search hits the ceiling sooner.
What works
- The free plan runs a working business: up to 2,000 contacts, 3 sales funnels, a course, a blog and your own affiliate program, with no credit card and no expiry date. You can launch a live funnel before paying a cent.
- One login replaces four subscriptions. Funnels, email, courses, a website and affiliate management run from the same account, so there is no glue code between a page builder, an email tool and a course host.
- Cheap even when you pay. Paid plans start at $17/mo, and the top plan with unlimited contacts costs about what funnel-first rivals charge for their entry tier.
- No transaction fees, ever. Every plan takes 0% on top of your Stripe or PayPal fees, and email sends are unlimited, so the bill does not balloon as your sales and list grow.
- Fast to learn and launch. Long-term users keep it for the same reason they picked it: fewer moving parts and less setup, which is what a first funnel actually needs.
What to watch
- The page builder and templates are basic. Fine for simple funnels and landing pages, but restrictive if you want pixel-level control or a high-end brand look. One long-term user called the editor "okay, but branding always felt slightly off for higher end offers".
- You can outgrow the automation and checkout. Conditional email logic, deeper checkout customization like tax handling, and heavier CRM or multi-brand workflows are where sellers say they leave for a specialist. The simplicity that draws you in is also the limit.
- Courses and communities are good enough, but they trail dedicated tools like Skool, and some niche features, such as natively collecting testimonials, need a third-party workaround.
- Much of the online praise is affiliate-driven. Systeme.io runs a strong affiliate program, and a lot of its glowing coverage, including Reddit "honest review" posts, reads as promotional. Trust your own free-plan trial over the hype.

5. ClickFunnels
Best funnel builder alternative for coaches and course sellers who want the most established bundle and template library
If the tool you are leaving is a smaller or newer funnel builder, ClickFunnels is the established bundle to measure it against. One account covers pages, Smart Checkout with bumps and upsells, email, a light CRM, courses and a community, and the drag-and-drop editor with its prebuilt funnels is the part long-term users praise most.
Billing and cancellation draw its loudest complaints, and the bill climbs as you add funnels and contacts. A claim still circulates in forum threads that it takes a cut of low-ticket sales. Its own pricing FAQ says it takes no percentage of sales, and that is what we go by.
What works
- Runs the whole funnel in one account: pages, checkout, email, a light CRM, courses and a community, so you are not stitching four tools together
- Fast to get live. The drag-and-drop editor and prebuilt funnel templates are the most-praised part, especially for non-technical sellers
- Smart Checkout is built for selling, with order bumps and one-click upsells aimed at raising average order value
- Strong aggregate scores: about 4.6 out of 5 across more than 400 G2 reviews and thousands of Trustpilot reviews
- Takes no cut of your sales, includes hosting, and carries a 30-day money-back guarantee
What to watch
- Priced at the top of the market. Plans run $97 to $297 a month, and users say the cost adds up fast, especially if you only need part of it
- Billing and cancellation are the loudest complaints, along with confusion between ClickFunnels Classic and the newer 2.0 accounts
- Some long-time users feel 2.0 was a step back from Classic, and marketers report occasional bugs and page speed that is hit or miss
- Less flexible than a custom stack, and course and membership delivery is weaker than a dedicated platform

6. Leadpages
Best funnel builder alternative for predictable page costs with no visitor caps
Leadpages is the budget page builder for a stack. Its plans are not capped by visitors, so a traffic spike leaves the bill where it was, and split testing comes without an enterprise contract.
It is a lead-capture and landing tool with no CRM or native email, so follow-up and the checkout live in other tools, and support quality is a recurring gripe. It fits a buyer who wants pages to be a fixed cost and already runs a cart and a mailing service they like.
What works
- Unlimited traffic on every plan, so a page that takes off never triggers an overage bill
- A/B testing and ad-matched headlines arrive on Grow, the first testing plan, at $67 a month billed annually
- Unlimited pages and a fast, simple builder
What to watch
- Fewer advanced page-optimization controls than a specialist like Unbounce, and no CRM or native email, so follow-up lives in another tool
- Older complaints about price jumps versus a WordPress page builder
- Support quality is a recurring gripe

7. GoHighLevel
Best funnel builder alternative for agencies reselling a CRM, funnels, email and SMS to local clients under their own brand
GoHighLevel answers a different departure: the agency whose clients need a CRM, SMS, booking and a client portal as well as funnels. It bundles all of those, and an agency can resell the whole platform under its own name.
Setup takes real time, and the monthly bill moves, because phone, SMS, email and AI are charged by usage on top of the subscription. Users also report fragile deliverability on its shared email sending. For a solo seller running their own ads, most of that breadth is overhead.
What works
- Consolidation is the win. It replaces a stack a small agency usually rents piecemeal, a CRM, a scheduler, a funnel and website builder, email and SMS, pipelines and automations, and long-term users say the value shows up when it retires three to six other subscriptions.
- White-label resale on the $497 Agency Pro plan. SaaS Mode lets you rebrand the platform as your own software, auto-create client accounts, and rebill phone, SMS and email usage with your markup. No single-purpose funnel tool offers that.
- Contacts and users are unlimited on every plan, and sub-accounts are unlimited from $297, so your bill does not climb with your client count the way a per-seat CRM does.
- Snapshots, an industry template library and a large active community make repeatable client onboarding fast once you have built your own setup.
What to watch
- Email deliverability is fragile on the shared sending pool. Users report open rates falling and mail landing in spam even with SPF, DKIM and DMARC configured correctly, and serious senders end up moving to a dedicated SMTP or IP. Test a real campaign before you trust it with a client's list.
- Reliability wobbles across modules. The vendor's own status page logged repeated 2025 incidents affecting workflows, forms, SMS, email and the Social Planner. If you white-label the platform to non-technical clients, you become the support desk when something breaks.
- The learning curve is steep. Workflows, triggers, snapshots and A2P SMS registration take real setup time, and that time can eat the savings if you build everything from scratch instead of starting from a snapshot.
- The sticker is not the whole bill. Phone numbers, SMS, email and premium AI are usage-based on top of the subscription, so your monthly cost is variable and grows with sending volume.

8. Kajabi
Best funnel builder alternative for course and membership businesses where delivery matters more than checkout tricks
Kajabi is the move when your funnel builder was really carrying a course business. Pages, community, email and checkout run under one login. Its course delivery is the strongest in this group, and it takes no cut of your sales.
Its funnels and checkout are lighter than a dedicated funnel tool, with fewer upsell and page-testing options, and the 2026 restructure made the entry plan dearer and cut its contact limit. It earns its fee once a course is already selling.
What works
- Runs the whole knowledge business from one login: courses, coaching, memberships, a community, email, landing pages, funnels and checkout, so you are not paying for five tools that do not talk to each other
- Built for delivery. The course builder, cohorts, community, podcasts and a branded mobile app make the student experience the strongest part, which is where a pure funnel builder is thin
- Takes no revenue share on any plan. You pay the monthly fee and card processing, and nothing extra per sale
- Well reviewed by long-time users, who most often praise having everything in one place and a builder that is straightforward to set up
- Checkout handles subscriptions, one-time payments, order bumps, upsells and downsells, with automated tax
What to watch
- Expensive, and more so since the January 2026 restructure. The entry Basic plan is now $179 a month (about $143 billed annually), its contact limit was cut to 2,500, and affiliates and advanced automations are locked to the $249 Growth plan and up
- Long-time customers lost grandfathered rates in the 2026 change, and price plus support are the two most common complaints in recent reviews
- If you only need to sell a simple offer through a hard-driving funnel, you are paying for course and community tools you may never open
- Its funnel and checkout are lighter than a dedicated funnel tool, with fewer aggressive upsell and page-testing options than ClickFunnels
- Some users find the initial setup time-consuming, and there is no dedicated tech support for your students

9. Kartra
Best funnel builder alternative for coaches who want pages, checkout, email and a member area under one login for less than Kajabi
Kartra covers what a bundled funnel builder does and adds a member area: pages, checkout, email and courses from one login. A coach who uses most of the suite gets good value from it.
Long-term users name slow support and a laggy editor as the costs of staying. The entry Essentials plan also takes 5% of each transaction, which pushes most real businesses onto Starter. Bought for one job, it loses to a single-purpose tool on price.
What works
- Genuinely covers the whole creator business under one roof: pages and funnels, email and SMS, a checkout, memberships and courses, calendars, affiliates and a helpdesk, so you stop paying for and wiring together five separate tools.
- Its checkout is built to lift order value, with branded order forms, coupons, buy-now-pay-later through Klarna, and one-click upsells.
- A funnel mapper lets you plan and simulate a multi-page journey before you build it, and more than 100 done-for-you campaign templates mean you rarely start from a blank page.
- Established and widely used. Kartra Inc., part of Genesis Digital, has run it since 2018 and counts 60,000-plus customers, and billing is flat-rate with no surprise usage fees stacked on top.
- Plans above the entry tier take 0% of your sales, and a 30-day money-back guarantee lets you build a real funnel before you commit.
What to watch
- Support speed is the loudest complaint from long-term users. Trustpilot reviewers in 2025 report waits of up to a week for simple questions, which hurts most during a launch when something breaks.
- The editor is capable but slow. Reviewers describe lag and glitches, and simple edits taking too many steps. Stress-test it on the trial before you build anything real.
- It is expensive unless you use the whole suite. Buy it for one job, a landing page or email alone, and cheaper single-purpose tools win on price.
- The entry Essentials plan takes 5% of every transaction and caps you at 500 contacts, 5 pages and one product, so most real businesses need Starter at $119/mo or higher.
- It is not a full CRM: it tracks contacts, tags and purchases but has no deal stages, forecasting or task management if a sales team lives in a pipeline. And building everything inside one platform means lock-in, since the work does not transfer cleanly if you leave.

My take
If you buy traffic, I'd start with the ElasticFunnels trial and put one split test behind an ad you already run before you cancel your current tool, because the test under one URL and the single sales record are what a stack cannot give you. If one module of your current bundle is the only problem, I'd replace that module and keep the rest. And if the bill is the whole complaint, Systeme.io is where I'd go first.
One seller is not served by this list: a direct-response brand already at volume that needs to spread payments across a large book of merchant accounts on many gateways. That buyer should also book a demo with Checkout Champ, which is sold by quote and so sits outside a ranking of self-serve tools.
How we evaluated these
We ranked these for one reader: someone leaving a bundled funnel builder who sells through paid traffic. For each tool we read the vendor's own pricing and feature pages, the review sites and forum threads where long-term users explain why they stay or leave, and our own reviews and head-to-heads. We did not build a live funnel in every tool, and nothing here claims we did.
Order reflects fit for that reader, judged on four things: whether the tool covers the page, the checkout and the reporting or only one of them, what the useful tier costs, what users repeatedly complain about, and how much reconciling a stack built around it leaves you with. Where a tool wins only for an agency, a course business or a first offer, its line says so. Our methodology page sets out the full process.
